When we were leaving Whitby, it started to rain. The waves were pretty high - and I can imagine that in a really bad weather, it's not a good idea to drive on the roads that are build on the shore.
But the weather didn't seem to stop the surfers. And neither did it stop Nicole and Michal, although everybody else stayed in the car and thought we are nuts. You can see how wet it was on the railing on the next two pictures.
In fact, the surfers must have liked the waves on the sea. Most of the surfers took their surf on a pier and then jumped into the sea. Check some of those pictures (and no, they're not standing on the water, they're jumping into it - and it's pretty high!)
