Vacation part 22: Niagara Falls - Nicole and Torsten

Nicole and Torsten still had a few more days of holiday left, so they decided to go back to Niagara Falls. Their coach was leaving from Toronto early afternoon on Sunday, so John and Dar took them to the coach depot on the way to the Toronto airport. The coaches in Canada are American-sized, or totally jijantic if you want.

The coach wasn't the only jijantic thing. Jijantic was also the amount of presents that Nicole and Torsten (and Michal as well) received. The quilt, the hat, the statue of liberty, the bunny, the dagger, the bouquet, the hockey T-shirt and jersey, the bunny feet. Michal was able to put everything to his suitcase, although the weight rose from the original 12.8kg to around 15 (that's almost 20% increase). But the space in Nicole's and Torsten's suitcases was not designed to accommodate so many new items that we had to carry back to Europe, so Nicole and Torsten had no choice but to buy a new suitcase just for the gifts. It was full of presents!

Nicole's and Torsten's room in their motel in Niagara Falls was classy. It must have been designed for people who were just engaged. When you turned on the heart-shaped Jacuzzi, a red lamp lit up as well!

Niagara Falls has changed significantly in the last twenty years. Twenty years ago, there was a street, a couple of houses, a restaurant, and a few attractions and that was it. Now it is a rather large town with a lot of hotels and restaurants and there is a lot to see; one day is just not enough anymore. People who saw the Niagara Falls twenty years ago would barely recognize the town now.

There's even a Tim Hortons restaurant in Niagara Falls. Tim Hortons is the biggest fast-food restaurant chain in Canada. Canadians say that if you don't see Tim Hortons every two blocks, you're in the wilderness. Using this definition, Niagara Falls is not a wilderness anymore!

The authorities have been putting a lot of effort into making Niagara Falls be a very pleasant place to visit. The town is very well maintained, there are a lot of parks with beautifully arranged flowers, there are benches that people can sit on and relax on every corner.

As you already know, we didn't go to the Whirlpool Aero Car, because we didn't have enough time for everything. Nicole and Torsten had two more days, so they went to check this attraction - but they didn't go in. You can however check how it looks on the following picture.
