Airplanes that are not in use for extended periods of time need a parking place. Usually larger airplanes will not be able to park in hangars, because each airplane would need a very big building and there are just not enough hangars to accomodate all planes, so airports have areas where the unused airplanes can stay for extended periods of time - perhaps years if needed. The Runway 04/22 in Prague is not used anymore, because it's not strong and long enough to handle today's airliners, but it's a good place where airplanes can park when needed: it's secure (noone is able to get there without going through the airport security) and it's strong enough to hold the airplanes at least when standing still or taxiing.
You can see a two Boeing 737-300 of the former Fischer Air charter company on the next set of pictures. The company bankrupted in 2005 and some of their airliners are now stored on the Runway 04/22 in Ruzyně. Their ownership is being disputed at the court, so they will be staying here until the court can reach a conslution. Perhaps then they will be for sale; if you know anyone who wants to buy an older 737 cheap (some 20 million US dollars each I hear), they may have a chance here!
Other companies park their airplane in the same area when needed, just like Smart Wings, a Czech low-cost airline. You can see their Boeing 737-522 on the next two pictures. The typical shape of the engine leaves no doubt about the fact that this indeed is a Boeing 737; they have wings and engines so close to the ground that the usually circular shape of engine must be somewhat flattened at the bottom.
And if you're wondering where the other 737 in Smart Wings colors is, you can see it inside the hangar. Or is it outside?
