Vacation in Canada

It's becoming more and more common that people from the Everquest guild Defenders of Fae meet in real life on parties or on holidays. This time, the party took place in Oshawa in Canada in the house of John (Darph/Hapla) and Darlene (Keeta) on the weekend of 22nd through 24th August.

The party was a part of the holiday of John, Darlene, Michal (Aeia), Nicole (Darthiir) and Torsten (Lukraak). The five of us spent some time together between 15th and 29th August. We visited Toronto, Collingwood, Niagara Falls, Wasaga Beach, Cobourg, and a few more places. You can see them marked on the following map. This gallery contains a lot of pictures and stories from all these places.

All chapters in this report contain many pictures; clicking on the thumbnails will show a larger version of the picture. The larger versions are still scaled down from the originals (to make them fast enough to be downloaded), but if you were on the party and would like to have the photos in high-resolution suitable for printing, let Michal know. You will also find a few videos on this site; their thumbnail has a blue Play icon overlaid over the picture. To view videos, click on the thumbnail. You will need a player capable of displaying Windows Media Video 9, e.g. Windows Media Player. If you have a slower internet connection, you will probably not be able to view the videos on the fly, instead you will need to save it to your computer first and then open in a media player.

If you are one of the people who do not play Everquest with us, you might be wondering about a few things on this website, especially the frequent remarks about bunnies. It was an awesome holiday. It was totally jijantic. American-sized! The holiday was so great because we met our friends and because Dar and John showed us all the interesting places! Thanks a lot to both of you; it would not have been such a holiday if it weren't for you.
