Vacation part 16: The Buckingham Palace

I must say, I was a bit disappointed by the Buckingham Palace. I was expecting to see something more than just a large building with a few guards wearing weird clothes. But that's all that was there.

This is how the building looks like.

The Queen was at home, because the flag was was on the roof.

And the guards were guarding her and the Palace. There was one guy standing in the booth, three other guys came to the first one, one of the three replaced the other one, the other one joined the remaining two of the three so they were three again, and the three went back. Or something like that :)

The Buckingham palace is situated at the St. James' Park. Just like several other London parks, this is a huge park and Londoners use it for relaxation. At least when it's not raining; the park emptied pretty fast after the shower started.

And finally this is the statue standing just in front of the gate to the Buckingham Palace.
